El 8 de julio de 2013 el papa Francisco hizo su primer viaje \u00a0fuera de Roma a la isla italiana de Lampedusa. D\u00edas antes hab\u00eda naufragado un barco con refugiados de los que 349 \u00a0murieron. Se calcula que en los \u00faltimos veinte a\u00f1os han muerto\u00a0 cerca de 20.000 personas entre Libia e Italia. All\u00ed el papa Francisco dijo:\u201c\u00bfD\u00f3nde est\u00e1 tu hermano? \u00bfQui\u00e9n es el responsable de esta sangre? \u00a1Ninguno! Todos responden igual: no he sido yo, yo no tengo nada que ver\u2026Hemos ca\u00eddo en la globalizaci\u00f3n de la indiferencia\u201d. El 9 de abril de 2014, la Fundaci\u00f3n italiana \u201cCasa_ del Esp\u00edritu y de las Artes\u201d present\u00f3 al \u00a0papa Francisco una cruz hecha con tablas de barcos naufragados frente a Lampedusa. El papa la bendijo y les encarg\u00f3 \u201cLlevadla por todas partes\u201d. Desde entonces, esta cruz ha recorrido muchas di\u00f3cesis de Italia, estuvo enn e Vaticano en el Jubileo de los Emigrantes (17 de enero de 2016), ha visitado Lourdes, ha sido acogida en 2017 por varias di\u00f3cesis espa\u00f1ola.<\/p>\n

Estos d\u00edas va a estar AQU\u00cd, EN VALLADOLID. Para recordarnos el drama de las migraciones y la muerte de tantos refugiados. Para que no caiga en saco roto la invitaci\u00f3n que nos hace el papa Francisco: construir un mundo que no sea c\u00f3mplice de la \u201cglobalizaci\u00f3n de la indiferencia\u201d.<\/p>\n
